The Grandview Board of Directors is looking for volunteers who would like to help plan the gardens and planters for our building. This is intended to be a short term, temporary committee, although interested owners are encouraged to continue meeting as needs change and develop.
Plants not only convert carbon dioxide to oxygen, but they create a lush landscape in the midst of the concrete city. The Grandview has a variety of terra cotta planters on the 7th floor patio that have not held up in windy weather and are very costly to maintain. We are looking for owners who would like to be a part of the planning process to replace/relocate these planters and decide how to improve the entry level garden areas including the tree holes the city installed in the sidewalk along our building.
Issues that need to be incorporated are options for automatic watering, appropriate plants for each location, materials used for planters, possibilities for abuse or misuse by passersby.
